Jamtli is a regional museum founded in 1912. The museum is especially well known in the museum sector for its pedagogical work. Jamtli has departments for cultural history, archeological and art exhibitions and also a relatively large open air museum. Jamtli has  good experience in digitalisation. For example, Jamtli has put considerable effort into digitalising the museum’s collections, first and foremost the museum’s large collection of pictures consisting of 9 millions negatives and 700 000 prints.
